What Are Paradigms?

Often, when talking about It, People ask: what are paradigms?
I thought it might be good to explain here what it is.

Bob Proctor says that a paradigm is a multitude of habits.
These habits are stored in our subconscious minds, and we are not even aware of them. These are our belief systems.

What Are Paradigms ? Have A Paradigm Shift!

We carry them usually from the past; these are things we learned from our
parents and grandparents and from school; some are even older.
These people are not to blame; they gave us what they thought was good for us. They did not know better themselves.

And we got Domesticated – domestication explained with a simple story.  Read an excerpt here.

Some we learned not long ago by ourselves. Like, for example, driving a car.
We learned it, and now we do it automatically; also, we do not need to think about the how, as we needed to do when we learned it.

We have our habits from the morning until the evening working for us.

Getting up, brushing teeth, shaving, combing the hair, dressing, this goes habitually.

Your Paradigms put you on autopilot.

It is Paradigms that, together with limiting beliefs, de-genius us and ignite the voice of inner judgment.

Have A Paradigm Shift

Some Habits are good, and some can be bad or not necessary. But we only realize them if we become aware of them.

There are many stories about this, but one I often hear is this one.
There was a family, and they made roast beef when they came together for a birthday. A new family member saw the mother cut the meat’s ends off before putting it in the pan; he asked why.

Nobody knew the answer; only the grandma said, I used to do this in the past because my pan was not big enough for the meat.
This habit stayed with the family even though it was not necessary anymore, and they did not even realize it.

Here is another similar story

Paradigms are Habits, other people’s habits, and they rule our lives; they are beliefs, work practices, expectations, and attitudes we inherited.
They are like a program installed in us, and we act on them.
It’s like the rules of a game we have to play; we live our life how others expect we have to live it if we are not getting aware and changing them.

Those belief systems or paradigms are how we see the world. As such, they constitute our reality. Our actions, personal life choices, and professional decisions are heavily influenced and, at times, strongly directed by our paradigms.
