Meditation is considered an artwork in itself. It takes a lot of practice to master it. If you
are really into meditation, then you will get better with the art of visualization.

Visualization is used by almost every individual. But this is extra evident amongst kids; as people grow older, they use this method much less. Children are full of wild imaginations. Although you are unaware of it, you are actually using visualization a way or another. What you must do, is to know that you are doing it and be more conscious of yourself.

Mediation makes use of visualization very often. Most of the meditation exercises that people are familiar about are all inclusive of visualization. Before concentrating on complicated meditation exercises, you first must be able to master this art.

Some people may imagine that visualization is easily mastered, that may be true. However, there are other people who struggle with it. Visualization will be stronger only if you keep on practicing, and you must always be prepared and concentrated on letting all your imaginations go.

If you want to master visualization, you can do this easy exercise. Pick a certain object in your home and clear your table and leave nothing but the object. Have a look at your chosen object and try to absorb all the details. You can try looking hard on the size, color, shape, and the shade on it. Then, memorize all the details if possible.

The next step is to close your eyes and try to picture your chosen object inside your mind. Ask yourself should you remembered all the details, or did you forgot a few of them. While doing this, think about your feelings about the exercise. Ask yourself again, if you feel uncomfortable about the exercise or if you are interested.

Now, clear the object inside your mind. Picture one other object inside your home. Observe and pay attention to the details. After, open your eyes and search for that particular object. Was the object identic to that pictured inside your mind? Did you miss out certain details, if that is the case, which ones? You have to once again ask yourself what you feel while doing the exercise.

Now, it’s important to return to the table and keep in mind the object of the past. Pay close attention to all the details. After this, try to put the object in its correct surroundings.

As you go about the exercise, you may notice that there are specific gaps in your imagination. So, can you now tell which of the object parts are real and which ones are not? Or which part came from your memory?

You were also asked to consider your feelings. When you are a newbie, visualization is stressful but don’t worry this is normal. Soon, the stressful emotions will disappear and you can do visualization exercises with ease. So don’t stop now just because you are having difficulties, just keep on with your practice.
